There is something about Southern California that keeps drawing us back. Playgrounds on the beach, long sunny days, avocado’s at every meal – all things we will never get tired of, and all just a regular part of life for California! Here are our favorites and things we would recommend to any family visiting Southern California and metro San Diego.
Oh, how we love Colorado! We were so happy when some friends rented a mansion and invited us to stay with them for two weeks in Westminster, just north of Denver. Of course we said yes, and our families had a great time spending Christmas & New Year’s together!
It’s safe to say we fell in love with Costa Rica! We had incredible food and met the nicest, most generous people. There is a lot to do with kids of all ages, and we will absolutely return someday with our girls when they are older. We spent 17 days here in 3 different locations. Each were very different from each other and gave us a good feel for the variety that Costa Rica has to offer.
We spent two weeks in Asheville at the beginning of November and loved our time spent here in this gorgeous mountain town. There is no shortage of hikes and beautiful views of the Blue Ridge Mountains all around town, even just to the grocery store! The majority of our time in Asheville was spent driving through the fall foliage and taking breaks at different lookout points and playgrounds along the way.
Spending two weeks in our nation’s capital was a treat and we loved every minute. There is so much history to (re)learn and some incredible sites to see. The city is full of museums, political buildings, and so much more. Here are our favorites and recommendations for anyone traveling here with kids:
Our stay in Boston was a quick 4 days, so they were full of fun, and really busy. It was really cool to finally see many sites that we learned about in history classes throughout school, plus some other gorgeous spots in the city. We visited in October, which was perfect timing.
We were so fortunate to be able to spend 3 weeks in New York City! We came with a list of things to do with the girls, and we still didn’t have enough time to get it all done. There’s so much for families to do in this city and we spent such an amazing time here together.
We have done several cruises in the past, but this was our first Disney cruise, and also our first Transatlantic cruise. We left from Barcelona and ended in NYC, and all four of us had a fantastic time! Nobody got seasick, we ate like kings, and had more Disney fun than we could imagine!
