There is something about Southern California that keeps drawing us back. Playgrounds on the beach, long sunny days, avocado’s at every meal – all things we will never get tired of, and all just a regular part of life for California! Here are our favorites and things we would recommend to any family visiting Southern California and metro San Diego.
Our stay in Boston was a quick 4 days, so they were full of fun, and really busy. It was really cool to finally see many sites that we learned about in history classes throughout school, plus some other gorgeous spots in the city. We visited in October, which was perfect timing.
We spent a week in August in Cape Cod and really picked the right time of year to be there. The weather was sunny and high 80’s every day – perfect beach weather during the day, and cool enough to walk around & sit outside in the evenings.
Recently, RubiosWander was nominated for two separate Liebster Awards. I’m so thankful for the nominations and am excited to answer all of the questions so that you can get to know us a little better. The first nomination was from Clare over at Suitcases & Sandcastles. She lives in the UK and has plenty of […]
For the ultimate southern charm, look no further than Charleston, South Carolina. There are plenty of things for kids here and a number of reasons to make this your next family vacation spot. Beaches! Sullivan’s Island is a quick drive outside Charleston, maybe only 15 minutes. You’ll find some gorgeous southern homes with wrap-around porches […]
The last stop of our family road trip through California! If you’ve never been to San Francisco, you really must go. We came here on our babymoon when I was pregnant with Olivia and knew we would bring our kids back one day. So here’s our favorite things to show your kids in San Francisco! […]
We arrived in Santa Barbara after making the drive up from Santa Monica, which was just under two hours. It took us a little longer because we stopped at El Matador State Beach for a quick, picturesque beach hike (shown above). This is the #2 thing to do in Malibu, CA according to TripAdvisor and […]
During our recent trip to Orlando, we spent a day at Universal Studios and Islands of Adventure. Our family (10 people ranging from 8 months to 56 years) had no problems doing both parks in one day, so I would recommend it too. We started off by entering Universal Studios, which seemed to be the […]
Magic Kingdom was our second Disney park to visit and such a hit with all of ten of us, ages ranging from 8 months to 56 years. We had a breakfast reservation at Be Our Guest, inside the Beast’s castle, and planned to enter the park early and make our way back there. We left […]
